Fresh for the Albany Stakes

The Albany is a tricky race to get a handle on but to get down to a manageable short-list if you look at horses with just 1 career run which was in the last month it will take a out a fair chunk of the field.  The stats for these read 5 winners from the 10 renewals of the Albany from just 43 runners, although this year we do have a fairly large set of qualifiers. Today's qualifiers are :- Arabda, Joyeuse, Race Hunter, Princess Noor, Rasheeda, Wonderfully, Sleepy Sioux and Wedding Ring.

Well prep'd GB and USA runners in the King Edward VII Stakes

Horses with 2 or 3 runs in the last 3 months prior to the King Edward VII have performed well winning 13 of the last 15 renewals but in a race with just 8 runners we would have 5 qualifiers. If we had to the mix GB and USA breds which far outstrip IRE bred runners then we are left with the following stats and qualifiers. 9 winners from the 15 renewals from 53 runners for a 17% strike rate.  This group have won 59% more races than expected. Today's qualifiers are :- Hillstar and Greatwood.

1000 Guineas form in the Coronation Stakes

Horses who ran last time out in the 1000 guineas and came straight to Coronation Stakes and are at the front of the market have 5 of the last 15 renewals and had 6 horses placed. Just 1 qualifier today, Sky Lantern.

4 year olds in the Wolferton Handicap

There have been 11 renewals of the Wolferton Handicap and 4 year olds have won 8 of them from 72 runners.  This is 27% above expectations and gives us short-list of runners for further analysis. The 4 year olds running today are :- Chapter Seven, Bana Wu, Rewarding, Sheikhzayedroad, Albasharah and Mobaco.

Front of the market in the Queen's Vase

Runners at the front of the market and who have had 1 or 2 prep runs in the last 3 months have a record of 7 wins from the last 15 renewals from 16 runners. The current favourite, Leading Light, fits the bill.
