In the 2000 Guineas just 2 winners were USA bred horses from 72 that have contested the race in the last 16 runnings. That's 57% lower than the expected winners from this group. This year we have two USA breds, Cristoforo Colombo and George Vancouver.  

Hannon Placers

In the 2000 Guineas Richard Hannon has had 25 runners in the last 13 years, without having a winner, but 5 have placed for a win and place strike rate of 20%. He has two runners this year, Toronado and Van Der Neer.  

Young Guns II

In the Jockey Club Stakes all of the last 16 winners were aged 4 or 5. This is 22% above expectations. This year with have just four runners, Noble Mission and Universal are 4 year olds, while the other two are 6 year olds.
