A guest blog by a sports trading mum
June 2nd, 2017This is a guest blog post by Debbie who is a working mum who trades sports in her spare time using Proform Race Guides and Proform Bet, Lay and Trade Finder. If you wish to get in touch with Debbie you can use her twitter handle at the end of the blog.
I honestly can’t remember how I was introduced to Proform but I’m certainly glad that I was! My trading is something that I do in my spare time and one thing that can’t be said is that I have a lot if it. That’s why Proform has been revolutionary for me as I now have a simple set up that works brilliantly for me and more importantly helps me generate profit.
So how does it help? This is what I do and the steps I undertake before every trading session. I open an Exchange website first then my trading software, followed by Proform Bet Finder. I then have a separate tab open with the Proform race guides on, which gives me four tabs open in my browser. This is everything I need now for in-play and sometimes pre-race trading.
The information on the ‘trade’ section in the Proform BetFinder shows me forecasted prices for all horses and by checking those against the current odds on the exchanges, then reviewing the pace and form info on the race guide for that race, I make my selections.
Before I used Proform for any in-play trades I simply relied on what I saw happening and with live feeds as slow as they are at times that wasn’t that easy. So now having the information the Proform website gives me, I feel far more comfortable trading in-play and very frequently many of the selections that are highlighted match pre-race which is a bonus.
I can derive back to lays and lay to backs and I’m sure that as I progress in my trading, I’ll use it more and more extensively as I’m definitely only scratching the surface as it stands.
I know lots of other traders who meticulously undertake their own research but for me, I simply don’t have the time to do that and as a working mum with her own business to run, I’ve always appreciated the benefiting of outsourcing. So that’s what I do now, I outsource my research to Proform and the subscription cost is simply a very cost effective business expense. After all, time is money!
