Ratings Value

Info:

Restrict your system to look for horses with specific ratings values in the respective fields

Examples of valid Ratings Values filters are:-

>= 500 (This would restrict the system to look for only horses with a ratings value of 500 or higher in the ratings field you entered the value)
>=0 and <=200 (This would restrict the system to look for horses with a ratings value of 0 to 200)

The maximum and minimum values for each rating are as follows:-
All Speed Ratings = 0 to 100

The dates when each rating started are:-
All Speed Ratings = 01/01/1997

Sectional Timing Fields

Info:

Proform customers who subscribe to Timeform’s sectional timing service are able to import the Excel files created by Timeform into Proform. The benefits are: -

  1. Combined with Proform Speed Rating Class Pars to find truly run races you can spot outstanding performances on the clock at a glance.
  2. When Class Pars and Sectionals are used in conjunction with our Power Ratings you can find standout betting opportunities!

Once the files are uploaded to the Proform database using our importer it loads the finishing speed % data into User Rating 4 field and also if you wish to import the upgrade figure, this information is imported into User Rating 3.

Prior to this release our technicians had to manually update each subscriber’s data base to enable the fields to be displayed in the Proform Racecard.  This release makes these changes automatically.

Where can I see the data in Proform

Once imported you can see the finishing speed % in the user rating 4 field when looking at a result in the dataview, like so:

If you can’t see user rating 4 in the same position as above then right click on the heading line of the grid and click on show fields. From the dialog box which appears scroll down and find user rating 4 and move it using the arrows to position required.

How do I see the figures in horse form and prior form?

In the new version of Proform, once the Timeform figures are imported, customers can view User rating 4 (finishing speed %) in the horse form and prior form screens.

You can also now use the system builder to query last time out user ratings 3 and 4 and our speed figure LTO. This will allow to deeply query finishing speed %, upgrade figures and our speed ratings.

Speed vs. Par

Info:

In each race, a horse’s last time out speed rating is displayed in the Proform Race Guide with an associated graphic and in this video we show you how to make sense of this information.

Static Speed Ratings

Info:

When viewing form in our form book software you can see dynamic speed ratings on the race card.

Because these speed ratings are static, they are ranked within each race, which in turn means they can be analysed with the system builder.

Here is a screen image of the static speed ratings followed by an explanation of each field

General Rules for all the Static Speed Ratings

Speed ratings of zero ignored
All of the static speed ratings ignore 0 ratings.
This means in races in which horses did not finish (full, pulled up etc.) or were so far back that they did not warrant a speed rating will be ignored for the purposes of calculating the static speed ratings.

Race Types
All of the static speed ratings only look at races that are the same race type as the race you are looking at.

By same race type we mean, if the race you are viewing is a Chase then the static speed rating is the speed rating the horse has achieved in a Chase.

There are 5 race types that the static speed ratings utilise Flat Turf, Flat AW, Jumps Chase, Jumps Hurdle and Jumps NHF.

Median Speed Ratings
The median rating is the middle most rating of the horses ratings after they are sorted lowest to highest, if there are an even number of ratings after sorting then the median becomes the average of the middle two ratings, if there is only one rating then the median is that rating.
